My name is Alan Alters and I have been a wine enthusiast for a long time. I grew up in New York City, at a time when you could drink wine regardless of your age as long as you had at least one facial hair.
I am from a primarily Italian neighborhood, back when Bolla ruled the roost on imported wines. I made my “wine bones” with Bolla Soave, Bolla Bardolino and Bolla Valpolicella, and powerful red wines are still among my favorites!
I created Altrotta’s Amphora to pursue this passion of sharing my curated knowledge with like-minded enthusiasts and build a community that understands the beauty and craft behind every bottle.
