BOOK A TASTING
Wine is for sharing. I know I’ve said that before. For many years I’ve tasted wine at vineyards, wineries and tasting rooms. I’ve tasted wines across Europe and in California, with family, friends and new acquaintances. Each time I’ve learned a thing or two about wines and the processes and people that make them.
When I joined Altrotta’s Amphora, one of the things that I liked best was hosting Private Wine Tastings. During the pandemic, many of these were virtual using Zoom, Teams or Meet, but they were opportunities to share wine and wine knowledge with people that shared a common interest. Whether that interest was work, community, a shared goal or simply a social circle, these wine tastings brought people together for a virtual party. They learned a bit about wine, about the tasting process and about each other.
Now that we are emerging from COVID, we offer Private Tasting Experiences in person as well as virtually. Tastings can be built around a pre-set flight of wines or customized around the host’s personal preferences.
Whether you’re thinking of a fun way to connect with friends and family or an engaging event idea for your organization's clients, donors or colleagues, we can create a memorable wine tasting just for you!
Our Private Tastings can be adapted to either an in person gathering, where each flight provides samples of two to five wines for around 12 to 20 people, or they can be organized as a virtual event, where each participating household orders their own flight and gathers for the guided tasting online. Tasting Experiences can be customized to suit the host’s preference; they can be formalized and focus on the wine-making process, or they can be a PARTY! (Usually, regardless of how they begin, they wind up as the latter!)
