An amphora was used in ancient days to store wine, grain and other staples. A typical amphora has two handles and, in classical times, had a pointed bottom so that they could be leaned against each other for easy storage. These days, you can buy an amphora in most souvenir shops in Italy and Greece. Prices vary by size!
