Boo!

Halloween is coming and so are the sweets. Candy Corn. Caramel Apples. And Pumpkin Pie. Pumpkin everything, really!

Whether you’re hosting a Halloween Costume Party for dozens of scary creatures or a sit-down dinner for a few select ghouls, you’ll want to make sure that you have the right wines on-hand to pair with the sweetness of the event.

Halloween Costume Party

For the party, bubbles are always a great way to go. We offer two styles of our French Kiss Sparklers that are tasty, low alcohol and pair well with sweets.

The French Kiss Sparkling Rosé is as pink as the ribbon Pinkie Pie! It is 100% Gamay and has a lower ABV of 8%, which makes it perfect for a party. It has a residual sugar level of nearly 50 g/l so it is a demi-sec sparkler and is best served well-chilled.

The French Kiss Sparkling Gamay presents with a deep violet red color. It has aromas of strawberry and red cherry. With an alcohol level of 7.5% this can be enjoyed (responsibly!) throughout the party. This wine is also great as a dessert and makes a great ice cream float!

How about a Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) wine?

For those wanting something a little more elegant, our JCB No. 69 Sparkling Brut is the perfect sparkler for a Halloween dinner. This wine has an alcohol level of 12% and a low residual sugar level of 10g/l. This pairs well with foods that are not overly sweet such as salmon dishes, grilled shrimp and, best of all, double dark chocolate brownies!

And finally, if you want something in the middle on the sweetness scale, the Haute Couture Sparkling Blanc is the perfect choice. This sparkler is made in the methode traditionelle with a dosage of 22 g/l, and has beautiful bubbles. This is also available in a rosé and a Limited Edition blend.

Regardless of your choice of sweetness, these sparkling wines are a great way to go for the Halloween feast. They are beautiful wines and should pair well with the sweet treats and good eats that you serve the witches, warlocks, ghosts and goblins that you’re going to meet on Halloween!
